It's been almost three weeks now since mom died, so I figure I should start re-emerging online for the sake of friends I haven't talked to in a while.

Despite feeling listless, more than a little lost and more heartsick with every passing day, I've found that my grief has fuelled an even fiercer passion for art. I'm not drawn towards my old cartoons and anime drawings at all anymore. On warm afternoons when I'm not working I just climb down the creekbank with a natural paper sketbook and brush pens and sketch for hours. I feel like I need to paint and paint and paint, on big canvases with huge strokes. I want to do abstract, and I've NEVER wanted to do abstract before. The downside, of course, is that the aforementioned canvases will never work with a scanner, lol.

At any rate, whether any new submissions come from my direction or not, I'm still here, and still functioning. Shout-outs to all my babies, and sorry I haven't been talking to anybody in so long! Love to everybody,
