Artist's Comments

The third piece in my Worship portfolio. Lol, I used my friend Shawn's hands as my model, and he's very proud.... *snicker* He occasionally struts up to people, holds out his hands, and says something like, "See these hands? These are GOD'S hands. Boo yeah." He's a funny child....

Anyway!! I really, REALLY love this. The scanned version is a piece of doo doo, though..... a lot of the original was cut off in the scanner. =P You can see more of the background (shapeless void) on the original painting. It's meant to be the moment before Creation.... as if God held the universe in his hands like water, then opened his hands to let the universe out. I think it's kinda cool. *grins*

Ummm..... yeah. Original looks better. Oh well.

I was reading the description and got to the part about the obviously candaian "shawn" and was like AHAHH where did she get my hands! and then i was like. ohhh... she wasn't talking about me.

I find it strange that you know two shawns (who spell their name the same way, which is odd in itself)

i can't help but wonder what the rest of your portfolio looks like. I BET IT"S TiS AWESOME!

Oh.. wow that's an amazing conscept and I LOVE how it is repersented in this piece... *stares in awe*

wow... those hands are amazing too.. and the water.. dammit the whole thing is WAY TOO GOOD!

Lol!!! I know quite a few Shawns, actually.... *thinks for a minute* Five come to mind..... there's probably more.... hahaha.

I'm sure your hands would have worked just as well, though, lol! ~_^

O_O The hands are like.. perfect. Completely. Perfect. HANDS ARE SO DIFFICULT! GAH!! This is amazing, hun!! Such an awesome concept, and yu pulled it off really well... the planets and sparkles look gorgeous, and all the colors!! I LOVE your colors... woo, beautiful!!
