Artist's Comments

This was originally drawn for the dragonballdeviants contest "Who Wants to Live Forever'. Obviously, it didn't get done in time, lol! I drew it on March Break and didn't get around to colouring it until now. It's supposed to illustrate ChiChi's grief after Goku dies in the Mirai universe from the heart virus.

The figures of ChiChi holding Goku's body were done in Prismacolour pencil crayons, and the rest was done in watercolours. The watercolours were FUN to use... I wish I'd used them for the whole pic!! The use of watercolours was inspired by my lurvely sistah, lorata , who uses watercolours for all her pics now. ^_^

Anyhoozers, aside from the icky colouring job on Goku's skin, I'm REALLY happy with this one. ^_^ I especially like ChiChi's hair, and her expression when she's kissing him. I think it came out almost desperate and on the verge of tears looking, which is what I was going for. ^_^

*contented sigh* Always a good feeling when you fill up an entire page with colour. ^_^

The blending of colors is excellent. I love the petals and second image..they add a lot of feeling to the painting!

Personally I'm not a big ChiChi fan but I'm still loving this picture. I gotta ask, how did you learn how to do feet? You've done a good job here and they're very tough for me.

But still, this is amazing work. Just for this you've earned yourself a new stalker :glomp:

awwww this is so beautiful ;-; poor chi-chi she always loses Goku in the series...more than once, and then her son well sort of, but does the woman really need anymore heart ache and stress? :cuddle: very beautiful i fav this all the way!
